The Advantages of Long Term Drug Treatment in Mountain View, Arkansas

Whereas drug addiction and alcoholism are chronic and recurring conditions, you will likely find that in order to have the best chances of successful recovery you must obtain professional help and support by attending a long term alcohol and drug treatment facility in Mountain View.

Today, alcohol and drug rehab programs come with many different treatment alternatives for people who need rehabilitation - and these differ in length and setting based on the specific needs and preferences of the clients.

Even though you will find some sobriety by going to short-term rehab lasting for 28 to 30 days, in most instances, you will find that long-term treatment is more effective.

Understanding Long-Term Substance Abuse Rehabilitation

Long term drug treatment will give you a safe and supportive setting where you can concentrate on conquering your substance abuse and addiction. While at the rehab you will be separated from your peers, home, and any other situation that could cause you to start abusing drugs or drinking alcohol again.

During your time in treatment, you will also discover how to pursue recovery by developing the coping mechanisms and tools that will assist your recovery long after you finish rehab.

Although you might be worried about being away from your everyday lifestyle for such a long time, consider the many research findings that promote long-term drug rehabilitation and you will see that the time you spend in one of these facilities will be well worth the effort.

How Long-Term Treatment Works

In most instances, long-term substance abuse rehabilitation is intended to help you recover from substance abuse by effectively detoxing your mind and body of all the toxic substances you have been using.

These rehab programs can also help by teaching you how to handle any cravings and triggers that could potentially cause you to relapse. Therefore, you may discover that this type of treatment will effectively help you to develop the recovery methods that will come in handy when you need to preserve your sobriety and abstain from drugs when faced with triggers.

These days, there are also high end, private rehab facilities that provide resort-like features, settings, and services. Choosing this type of lavish program could perhaps make it easier for you to battle your addiction.

Yet, if you don't have the resources to afford a program such as this, you should not despair. Even a low-cost drug treatment program in Mountain View, AR. can work wonders if you stay enrolled for a long time until you are completely in command of your life and no longer dependent on mind-altering substances.

In fact, most long-term rehab facilities will provide you with 24 hour care, monitoring, and maintenance by a team of highly trained, knowledgeable, and certified substance abuse experts. Therefore, you will get all the help you'll require as you recover from substance abuse.

These centers also function somewhat like residential halfway houses - only that you will be monitored more intensively to make sure that you don't use drugs or alcohol and you undergo more intensive therapy and counseling.

Although long-term treatment centers range from residential facilities to hospital settings, they will all work to provide you with a safe and conducive setting where you can concentrate on your recovery.

Long-term programs have also been advancing and some will offer various types of addiction rehabilitation. You might, for instance, be able to find a long term drug treatment program that also uses holistic methods of substance abuse rehabilitation, faith-based rehabilitation, among many other methods of treatment.

The facilities may also provide experiential treatment therapies, relaxation therapy, improved nutrition, physical exercise, and yoga or other eastern meditative disciplines to try and speed up your recovery while ensuring that you learn how to manage your addiction compulsions and overcome any triggers you have to use drugs and/or alcohol. These treatment services could additionally empower you to continue growing emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally - often resulting in better outcomes.

Also, the facility can give you other relapse prevention methods to help you to stay clean and sober after the treatment is done. For example, they may help you develop new career skills, learn how to manage your money and take charge of your finances, teach you how to plan for job interviews, and show you how to develop better habits regarding cleanliness, hygiene and appearance.

Since substance abuse impacts many different facets of your life, it is essential that you work on every factor in regards to your substance abuse - beyond just your physical dependence on drugs.

While working to make sure that addiction no longer has a hold over your life, therefore, long-term alcohol and drug treatment facilities in Mountain View, Arkansas also work to treat the psychological components of addiction. This is why these programs perform various methods of therapy and counseling.

The duration of the rehab program will vary from one patient to the next depending on several factors. These factors include the severity and duration of your addiction, the kinds of substances abused, as well as the presence of a co-occurring mental health disorder emerging from or intensified by your substance use.

Benefits of Long-Term Rehab

Recent surveys have shown that addicts who spend longer in a treatment facility typically achieve higher success rates. Therefore, the longer you stay and participate in the treatment facility, the smoother it will be for you to focus on recovery.

Long term drug treatment in Mountain View could also provide you with the opportunities to learn how to support your recovery and manage any triggers that you might encounter in your battle against substance abuse and addiction.

Initially, the rehab program will provide physical detoxification. This will clean out your body and mind of all intoxicating substances (as well as the leftover toxins) that you were ingesting.

Finally, you will spend most of the rest of the time in rehabilitation handling all the underlying causes of your addiction. To this end, this form of rehab will put you in in a good position to find out all the factors that caused you to start abusing drugs to begin with. In the process, long-term rehab will teach you other coping mechanisms that you can utilize to prevent yourself from relapsing.

Generally speaking, long-term drug rehabilitation is the most effective form of treatment particularly if you have a long history of addiction and need more intensive treatment to conquer your condition.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock. Operating under separate articles of incorporation, the two facilities each expanded, offering treatment to both men and women and to include substance abuse treatment in general rather than just alcohol addiction.
