What is Short-Term Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Holly Grove, Arkansas

A short term drug treatment program is most appropriate for people with a short history of abuse or abuser's that wish to stop abusing drugs or alcohol but are having some difficulty doing so. When you use substances that are habit forming even for a brief period of time you can become addicted. Drug and alcohol addiction reveals itself when you make the decision to stop taking the substance but you are unable to due to psychological and/or physical withdrawal symptoms. If you abuse an addictive drug such as crystal meth crack, heroin, xanax, dilaudid, librium or various other addictive substances for even a brief amount of time you could have a hard time stopping on your own without help. If this is the case, a short term drug and alcohol rehab in Holly Grove could be the appropriate choice.

When you stop using addictive substances abruptly you may experience physical effects known as withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms can produce both physical and psychological symptoms such as shakiness, weakness, craving, clammy skin, sweating, feeling cold, agitation, crying, excitability, irritability, restlessness, delirium, hallucinations, depression, severe anxiety, paranoia etc... Withdrawal symptoms can induce urges to keep using the drug to relieve the symptoms even though you really desire to discontinue using the substance. If this sounds like you or your loved one's situation, then you can benefit from the assistance of a short term substance abuse program.

The first phase of a short term rehab program for addiction is detox. Medical detoxification is a process that helps to alleviate withdrawal symptoms with medications made to safely and comfortably ease you off the drug. After detoxification is finished, you will be given psychological help and education to help you strengthen your recovery so that you can live a happy, drug-free life. A short term addiction treatment program in Holly Grove, AR is typically 28 to 30 days in length and the end results can be life-changing for the whole family.
