Understanding Long Term Alcohol and Drug Treatment in Brinkley, Arkansas

To stop yourself from turning back to your old drug use patterns as well as address any co-occurring mental health disorder you might have, you might find that you need to do the following:

  • Institute new approaches you can use to manage your condition
  • Pinpoint all life problems that might exacerbate your mental health problems and work through them
  • Identify the impact and effects of your drug addiction on your life
  • Learn about how to prevent yourself from giving in to the temptation to start abusing drugs and alcohol
  • Develop ways to address any reemergence of the symptoms of your drug and alcohol abuse
  • Comprehend your drug addiction as a process and concept

Because there are a lot of things for you to grasp, you might find it more helpful to spend more time in a Brinkley addiction treatment center. Although short-term drug and alcohol treatment may also provide you with a groundwork for your treatment, it may not have adequate support to make sure that you retain these lessons and start applying them in your life.

In such situations, therefore, you may benefit from long term alcohol and drug rehab. In many instances, this type of drug and alcohol addiction rehab is provided on an inpatient or residential basis to ensure that you are in a supportive environment free of all triggers that often cause you to begin using intoxicating substances.

During long term rehab, therefore, you will receive the robust level of care and support you need for an extended duration. As such, the treatments will assist you in laying the foundation that you can depend on to achieve sobriety in the long run.

Overall, long term alcohol and drug rehabilitation will provide you with 24/7 oversight, care, and management over an extended period. At the end of the drug addiction treatment in Brinkley, AR., you should have acquired enough knowledge and skills to start leading a more productive, sober life.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas has a rich history with strong foundations in the recovery community of central Arkansas. The first Alcoholics Anonymous group in Arkansas and the oldest AA group west of the Mississippi River initially incorporated in the 1950's, as the Twenty-Four Hour Club and later as Addiction Treatment Centers, for the purpose of purchasing a facility in Little Rock to offer treatment for alcohol abuse. A need was shortly thereafter identified to have a similar facility on the north side of the river. Twelve people, incorporating as Riverbend Recovery Centers, donated $100 each for a down payment on a building and property located at the current site in North Little Rock.
