KAR House is dedicated to assisting the people of Port Alexander, Alaska and the surrounding areas to recovering from the problems and issues that arrive from drug an/or alcohol abuse. KAR House administers a wide range of services in line with their philosophy of treatments that work - including long term rehabs, outpatient counseling, detoxification programs, short term addiction treatment facilities, inpatient drug and alcohol rehab facilities and others.
KAR House also believes that it is important that every individual gets specific treatments that are tailored to their needs to help ensure treatment is a success. This is why it is specialized in a wide variety of treatment methods, including individual psychotherapy, 12-step facilitation approach, vocational rehabilitation services, brief intervention approach, trauma-related counseling, relapse prevention and others. In addition, KAR House is specialized in housing services, social skills development, residential beds for client's children, clients referred from the court/judicial system, self-help groups, persons with eating disorders, as well as other special programs. In general, the treatment services that this alcohol and drug rehab program uses aims to provide positive and lasting change for each individual.
Lastly, KAR House accepts private health insurance, cash or self-payment, sliding fee scale, payment assistance, county or local government funds, other state funds and more.
