Serenity Lane was established as a private, not-for-profit treatment center for alcoholism and drug abuse in 1973 by Dr. Thomas A. Kerns. Sam Graves of Heartview Foundation, Mandan, North Dakota, was recruited to direct the Serenity Lane program. Serenity Lane has been licensed as a specialty hospital treating addiction since 1973 and all programs are accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). We are the only treatment center in Oregon that is fully licensed as a specialty hospital to do medical withdrawal support. We have a professional medical staff and 24-hour nursing care.
