Back in 1977, a small sized group of visionary community citizens started an odyssey which continues to this very day. This odyssey was the Northeastern Center. Initially, the Northeastern Mental Health Center only dispensed outpatient healthcare services. Today, the facility has diversified its service provision, providing inpatient services and IOP services. It helps thousands of persons every year. - Northeastern Center Inc. had one residential home prior to expanding with HUD houses in the late 80s and early 90s. it also had a pared down partial program before embracing the Clubhouse model which is currently used. - For its final move, this mental health facility started outpatient offices in each county purchasing land and constructing a center in every one of these. - This agency currently has over 200 employees and supplies a vast assortment of services, using community-based case facilitators, master's level therapists, nursing personnel, psychiatric staff, and numerous service staff. - The Northeastern Mental Health Center offers services to people with severe mental illnesses, to adolescents and children who suffer from severe emotional disturbances and also to people struggling with drug and substance abuse.
