For almost 50 years, New River Valley Community Services or NRVCS has given the maximum quality of behavioral health services to people of the New River Valley. It provides a range of services for both kids and adults that are living with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders. ' NRVCS' counter tools/merchant schooling is a strategy made to teach tobacco retailers concerning the legislation and the damaging effects of selling tobacco products to underage youths. ' At least every couple of years, specialists in prevention and/or coalition members make sure to see and assess 100 percent of tobacco merchants in the New River Valley. ' During the assessment, a shop audit is finished, which divides the shop's location and offers information about tobacco products, pricing, positioning, and promotions. ' The REACH (Regional Education Assessment Crisis Services Habilitation) program at New River Valley Community Services is a systems-linkage strategy to community-based emergency stabilization and avoidance supports for people who have developmental problems and co-occurring behavioral diagnosis or challenging behaviors which are negatively impacting their wellbeing.
