These volunteers recognized the need for treatment as heroin overdoses became prevalent in the area. Over the course of 40 years, KSCS has evolved from a small methadone clinic to a comprehensive behavioral health and community services organization that provides ethical and supportive evidence-based treatment to assist in combating the opioid epidemic facing Delaware and the nation; and prevention, education, case management services to Delawareans who are at risk or living with chronic diseases.
