The John L McClellan Memorial VAMC's line of specialized service programs for homeless veterans are available to hundreds of thousands of homeless and at-risk veterans every year. ' Independently as well as in liaison with community and federal partners, it has programs that provide vets with apt justice- and reentry-related services, housing solutions, health care, employment opportunities, and much more. ' Via public housing authorities, this facility for veterans provides rental aid vouchers for privately-owned housing to vets that are eligible for VA healthcare service programs and are grappling with the issue of homelessness. ' Its case managers connect these vets with practical support services with the examples of mental health treatment, general health care, and drug use counseling to aid them in the recuperation process as well as with their capacity to maintain a living space within the community. ' Among its homeless continuum of programs, HUD-VASH at the John L McClellan Memorial VAMC admits the highest number as well as the largest percentage of vets that have gone through long-term or repetitive homelessness.
