Founded in 1973, FLACRA is a private, non-profit agency serving individuals and their loved ones in the Finger Lakes Region whose lives are affected by substance use and other health-related disorders. FLACRA employs more than 250 full-time, part-time and per diem staff comprised of program supervisors, credentialed substance abuse counselors, nurses, vocational and therapy aides and administrative staff - all dedicated to the individuals and families that FLACRA serves. At FLACRA, we believe chemical dependency is a treatable disease. We also believe that those who receive treatment can return to a happy and healthy lifestyle. Our compassionate, individualized care and strength-based treatment services are designed to provide support through every step of the recovery journey. FLACRA offers an unique Continuum of Care for our clients. Services include, but are not limited to, addictions crisis counseling, outpatient services, community residences, supportive living, housing, and care management. Costs are based on a client's ability to pay, or a sliding fee. No client will be denied service because of inability to pay. We accept Medicaid and most major insurance coverage as payment.
