We are credentialed by the Louisiana Office of Behavioral Health as an Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Provider. DuraCARE is also licensed by Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals as an Outpatient Addiction Provider.Mrs. Wendy Q. Durant, CEO and Executive Director holds a Master degree in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans, a Master degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from the University of New Orleans. Mrs. Durant is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Louisiana State CertifiedGuidanceCounselor, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), and a Louisiana State Board Approved Counselor Supervisor. Working alongside Wendy is a team of dedicated psychiatrist, nurse practitioners, mental health professionals, and licensed clinical social workers that have educational and professional experience in the field of addiction counseling, mental health counseling, school counseling, play therapy, and crisis management.
