Having been in existence since 1899, the Catholic Charities Neighborhood Servs has been serving the communities of Queens and Brooklyn. During this time, it has also been building communities, serving its neighbors, and changing lives through compassion and mercy. - Currently, the services sponsor hundreds of programs for young children and young people, as well as for senior citizens and adults. This is in in line with its focus on people who are isolated or diagnosed with poor mental health. Additionally, the CCNS is one of the largest providers of free and affordable housing. - As a faith based organization, the Catholic Charities Neighborhood Servs offers its services in line with the Christian creed of charity. For this reason, countless numbers of people in the local community have been turning to it for help and assistance with various issues. This is because the center addresses the issues of poverty while promoting social justice by empowering individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.
