A 501c3 not-for-profit corporation, Capital Area Counseling Services was established with the goal of taking care of the addiction and mental health needs and requirements of the communities of Central South Dakota. Today, it has more than 90 employees providing programs and services in the community and in their offices. - The agency takes care of people living in 9 counties within the region, including but not limited to Potter, Sully, Hyde, Buffalo, Lyman, Jones, Haakon, Stanley, and Hughes. It works to be the best place in the region for people to receive care and overcome their substance abuse and addiction as well as address their mental health care needs. - Through the core values of compassion, accountability, respect, and trustworthiness, the agency provides high quality customer service, excellent outcomes, a culture of client and staff engagement and wellness, rapid access to programs and services, excellent value, and comprehensive care. By so doing, Capital Area Counseling Services ensures that clients achieve health and long term recovery.
