Adult outpatient centers at the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health offer assessment, diagnosis and therapy to persons who require mental health or dual-diagnosis treatment modalities. - The outpatient treatment group of professionals consists of highly trained pros, with the inclusion of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, counselors, psychiatric technicians, and support staff. - The primary areas of focus include psychiatric assessment, mental health and drug abuse assessment, and thorough evaluation for medication, limited individual counseling, group counseling, benefits services, medication monitoring, interpreter services, bilingual counseling services, and community services referral. - Its wellness and recovery centers (WRC) are, by structure, consumer driven and they emphasize recovery-oriented actions, with the inclusion of employment services, socialization opportunities, peer support, reintegration into the community, life skill groups, and medication support. - These centers will be accessible by all community members. There will be an on-site clinician in place at the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health to aid the consumers in running their own groups and to provide limited support for mental health.
