The Arab American and Chaldean Council started out as an one-person office at the International Institute in Detroit. Back then, it used to focus on the needs and requirements of immigrants in the community. since then, it has grown into one of the leading mental and behavioral health community organizations in the area, serving over 5000 clients. - Through the Behavioral Health Division, the center offers comprehensive and affordable community-based treatment and recovery services on an outpatient basis. This program is accredited by CARF - the Commission on Rehabilitation Accreditation. It is also committed to the treatment and prevention of social and psychological problems. However, it mostly focuses on the Chaldean and Arab-American communities, as well as the mainstream local community. - The goal of this organization is to improve the lives of its clients. To this end, the Arab American and Chaldean Council focuses on helping its clients so that they can develop their inner potential while also empowering them to become more productive and valuable members of their individual communities.
