List of Short Term Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities In Brighton, Colorado

Understanding Short Term Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation in Brighton, Colorado

Short term drug rehabilitation is among the successful types of addiction rehabilitation. In particular, it may be appropriate for clients in Brighton who are unable to attend a long-term rehab program.

Yet, there are numerous things you should look into while selecting the treatment program you are going to attend. The three primary factors encompass cost, success rates/effectiveness, and program duration.

Whereas no universal recovery method will work for all addicts, you will have a few options to pick from dependent on your particular needs and desires. One of these options is short term drug rehabilitation.

In most cases, short term rehab will have you reside within the rehab facility for a couple of weeks or so. These programs are similar to long-term rehab programs except they are much shorter yet at the same time ensuring that you get the attention, support, and monitoring to ensure you do not relapse.

In particular, short term treatment will range in length from 2 - 6 weeks. During this time, you can benefit from individual and group counseling and therapy even as you continue discovering effective life skills and recovery tools that will help you to effectively handle any tempting situation you may experience instead of reaching for drugs or alcohol.

Typically, short term drug rehab in Brighton, CO. will start with medical detox. The length of this program will largely depend on the dose and frequency of your substance abuse as well as the length of time you have been using.

After you finish the detox step, the short term treatment center will utilize other forms of treatment depending on your individual needs and requirements. For instance, treatment may use 12-step meetings and group counseling to allow you to receive benefits from peer support. These treatments will hold you accountable as you try to overcome your addiction.

Other treatment approaches that might be offered in short term rehab include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Individual counseling
  • Medication
  • Nature therapy
  • Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety and depression
  • Yoga

All these treatment methods can be used to help modify your behavior, discourage you from substance abuse, and teach you ways to make positive decisions so that you don't fall back into substance abuse. You may also discover new coping strategies and improve your relaxation, so you do not feel you need to resort to drugs.
